Hall of Fame Criteria
- All nominees must be Singapore Citizens who represented Singapore at international meets, or who were Singapore citizens at the time they represented Singapore at international meets.
- Posthumous nominations are acceptable.

Athlete and Team Criteria
Nominees should:
- Have made significant and enduring contributions to the discipline
- Be an inspiration to others
- Have won medals at the highest level of competition with emphasis on the SEA Games, Commonwealth, Asian games, World Championship & Olympics
- As a general guideline, aquathletes should have the minimum medal tally listed below

- Aquathletes who do not meet the minimum medal tally but who have contributed in other ways to the sport will also be considered for induction.

Contributors Criteria
- Displayed extraordinary contributions of that person’s sport or to sport generally, over a significant period of time.
- Be initiators, game changers, innovators whose work has been adopted widely, sports developers or achievers at the highest levels of office or appointment available.
- Fields that may be considered suitable as contributions to the performances of athletes or development of sports In Singapore and internationally may include, but not limited to:
1. Sports administration
2. Sports coaching/training
3. Sports science/medicine
4. Sports media/history
5. Sports Development
