Join Singapore Aquatics at our 85th Anniversary Events and help fund the hopes and dreams of our athletes
Singapore Aquatics (SAQ), also known as Singapore Swimming Association, aspires to be the leading national sports association in Singapore to help Singaporeans live better through sport. We aim to be “A World Class Aquatic Nation, With Every Singaporean a Swimmer”.
Over the years, SAQ has developed and regularly refined our sport development strategies to achieve our aim of becoming one of the leading aquatic nations and establishing Singapore as a regional hub for aquatic sports in Asia. These include building a sustainable aquatic ecosystem encompassing all areas of aquatic excellence, from increasing mass participation, providing support for the growth of our aquatic community and clubs at the grassroots level, as well as growing and maintaining a steady crop of high-performance elite athletes and creating pathways for athlete and coach development.
While some funding is received from Sport Singapore, there are still many initiatives across the 5 aquatics sports which require additional resources to implement and to realise SAQ’s objectives.
SAQ turns 85 this year. To mark this milestone, we are organising two fund-raising events to help ensure that SAQ can continue to fund the dreams of future generations of aquatic athletes as they chase the gold for Singapore:
• Golf Fundraising Event, 3 April 2024, Tanah Merah Country Club
• Gala Dinner Fundraiser, 10 May 2024, Raffles City Convention Centre
*see below for our 85th Anniversary Fundraising Deck and how you can contribute
The gala dinner will also be an occasion where we honour both the past and present – we will be launching our Aquatics Hall of Fame and honour our athletes who did Singapore proud at the SEA Games and Asian Games in 2023.
The different tiers of donations and entitlements are in the accompanying registration form. As a recognised Charity and an Institution of Public Character (IPC), all donations are entitled to 2.5 times tax deductions. In addition, donations will be matched one-for-one by the One Team Singapore Fund.
I sincerely thank you for supporting our athletes and our past activities and hope for your continued support to help us to empower lives through Aquatics. Majulah!
