About Singapore Aquatics

Singapore Aquatics is the National Sports Association governing Swimming, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Diving and Open Water Swimming in Singapore.

The Singapore Aquatics (SAQ) was founded in 1939 as the Singapore Amateur Swimming Association (SASA) and then changed its name to Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) from 2002 to 2023. The SAQ is a member of World Aquatics, Asia Aquatics and South-East Asia Swimming Federation (SEAF).

OUR MISSION
To provide leadership in the development of Swimming, Water Polo, Diving, Artistic Swimming and Open Water Swimming in Singapore, maximising the potential of every athlete towards personal and national aspirations.

OUR OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Association includes:

  • to promote, encourage, organise and develop Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Open Water Swimming and other related aquatic activities in Singapore.
  • to organize aquatic events for Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming and Open Water Swimming
  • to sponsor, support and participate in any national, regional or international competitions Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Open Water Swimming and other related aquatic activities;
