AQUATICS HALL OF FAME

The Singapore Aquatics Hall of Fame is a prestigious recognition that celebrates the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals who have left an indelible mark on the world of aquatic sport. From exceptional athletes to visionary coaches and dedicated officials, the Hall of Fame serves as a testament to the enduring spirit and excellence within the Singapore Aquatics community.

The Hall of Fame aims to…

  • Honour Excellence: Recognize and honour individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and dedication in the field of aquatic sports.
  • Preserve History: Preserve the rich history and heritage of Singapore Aquatics by immortalizing the achievements and contributions of our Alumnus.
  • Inspire Future Generations: Inspire aspiring athletes by showcasing the stories of those who have reached the pinnacle of success.

Hall of Fame Criteria

  • All nominees must be Singapore Citizens who represented Singapore at international meets, or who were Singapore citizens at the time they represented Singapore at international meets.
  • Posthumous nominations are acceptable.

Athlete and Team Criteria

    • Have made significant and enduring contributions to the discipline
    • Be an inspiration to others
    • Have won medals at the highest level of competition with emphasis on the SEA Games, Commonwealth, Asian games, World Championship & Olympics
    • As a general guideline, aquathletes should have the minimum medal tally listed below

 

Contributors Criteria

  • Displayed extraordinary contributions of that person’s sport or to sport generally, over a significant period of time.
  • Be initiators, game changers, innovators whose work has been adopted widely, sports developers or achievers at the highest levels of office or appointment available.
  • Fields that may be considered suitable as contributions to the performances of athletes or development of sports In Singapore and internationally may include, but not limited to:
    1. Sports administration
    2. Sports coaching/training
    3. Sports science/medicine
    4. Sports media/history
    5. Sports Development
