The Next Wave – Championing Our Future, Together
9 May 2026 | Raffles City Convention Centre
Dear Sir/Madam,
Being part of a historic year for Singapore Aquatics has been a wonderful privilege for me.
At the World Aquatics Championships Singapore 2025, the world came to our shores and witnessed the strength of our aquatics community. At the 33rd SEA Games 2025, our athletes contributed close to half of Singapore’s gold medal haul and more importantly, put up performances that inspired the nation.
Behind these achievements are countless hours of training, perseverance through setbacks and doubts, and an unwavering belief in the dream of representing our nation. To celebrate our athletes and our accomplishments as an aquatics community, we will be hosting the Singapore Aquatics Appreciation & Fundraising Dinner on
Saturday, 9 May 2026 at the Raffles City Convention Centre.
The evening will honour the achievements of our athletes and feature the 2nd Singapore Aquatics Hall of Fame induction, recognising individuals whose contributions have shaped the legacy of aquatic sports in Singapore.
But just as importantly, this evening is also about the future.
Our athletes are striving to achieve at the next level – medals at the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, and another outstanding showing at the 2029 SEA Games.
To get there, we need to continue investing heavily in sports science, coaching expertise, pathways and programmes to develop our talent pipeline for swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving, and open water swimming.
To help more athletes pursue these dreams, we need your support.
I warmly invite you to join us for this meaningful evening by purchasing a table or contributing as a donor and be part of the community championing the next wave of Singapore’s aquatic athletes.
Details of the various donor tiers and entitlements are provided in the accompanying registration package.
As a recognised Charity and an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), all eligible donations will receive 2.5 times tax deduction.
In addition, donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the One Team Singapore Fund, further amplifying the impact of your contribution.
Together, we can empower lives through aquatics and build the future of Singapore’s aquatic sports.
Majulah!
Yours Sincerely,
Prof. Kenneth Goh
President
Singapore Aquatics
Your generous contributions have played a vital role in strengthening the ecosystem that supports our athletes and programmes across Singapore Aquatics. Over the past year, your support has enabled several key initiatives that directly contributed to athlete development and international success.
Competition Opportunities
With the closure of Toa Payoh Swimming Complex and Queenstown Swimming Complex for redevelopment, all national divers were relocated to the OCBC Aquatic Centre — currently Singapore’s only diving facility. To ensure continued development, additional overseas training camps and competitions became critical for our athletes to gain exposure and train alongside the best
Impact of your support:
• Ainslee Kwang (14) – Became the first Singaporean diver to qualify for the semi-finals at the World Aquatics Championships (2025)
• Avvir Tham – Won the SEA Games men’s springboard gold, Singapore’s first since 1965, ending a 60-year wait
Your support ensured our divers continued to progress despite infrastructure challenges.
Coach Development & International Expertise
High-performance sport requires world-class coaching. With donor support, Singapore Aquatics has been able to engage international expertise to strengthen our coaching ecosystem.
Impact of your support:
• Appointment of world-class artistic swimming coach Anastasia Goutseva, bringing international expertise and high-performance standards
• Increased overseas exposure through World Aquatics competitions and World Cup events• Artistic Swimming Team – Won SEA Games Team Silver and Duet Gold (2025) after the sport’s return to the Games since 2017
Your support ensures our athletes benefit not only from talent, but also from world-class guidance.
Education & Career Support
Your support enabled our national water polo athletes to commit fully to high-performance training while balancing education and career pathways. Some working athletes made the difficult decision to step away from their jobs to train full-time.
Impact of your support:
• Men’s Water Polo Team – Retained SEA Games gold with a young squad of 11 debutants
• Women’s Water Polo Team – Retained SEA Games silver
Your support allowed our athletes to train twice daily, remain competitive against Asia’s top teams and maintain Singapore’s regional dominance.
Training Environment & Performance Technology
Enhancing the daily training environment and incorporating video feedback and performance analysis tools are critical for skill refinement and strategic development. Your support enables our athletes to train smarter and remain competitive internationally.
Impact of your support:
• Julia Yeo (14) – Broke Tao Li’s national record (2:17.55) set in 2009 and won SEA Games gold
• Letitia Sim – Dominated the SEA Games with five gold medals
• Gan Ching Hwee – Continued to break national records and strengthen Singapore’s distance swimming programme
Your contributions help provide the marginal gains that separate finalists from champions.
