1st SAQ SwimFaster Awards

The inaugural SwimFaster Awards marked the launch of Singapore Aquatics’ national performance assessment programme under the SwimSingapore presented by OCBC framework. Held at the Singapore Sports School, the event brought together swimmers from clubs, swim schools and academies across Singapore to challenge themselves through structured, timed assessments designed to measure speed, endurance and overall swimming performance.

The SwimFaster Awards provide swimmers with a clear benchmark of their abilities while encouraging continuous improvement through recognised achievement standards. Serving as an important milestone within the SwimSingapore pathway, the programme bridges the transition from learn-to-swim initiatives to competitive swimming, helping participants build confidence, discipline and a passion for lifelong participation in the sport.

The successful inaugural edition laid a strong foundation for future SwimFaster Awards, reinforcing Singapore Aquatics’ vision of “Every Singaporean a Swimmer” by providing meaningful opportunities for swimmers of all ages to track their progress and celebrate their achievements.
