New Initiative to Unite Masters Swimmers Under “SGP Aquatics Masters”

Dear Affiliates,

Aside from the exciting upcoming hosting of the World Aquatics Championships and World Aquatics Masters, we are excited to announce a new initiative aimed at strengthening the representation of Singapore’s Masters swimmers/aquatics athletes on the global stage.

Singapore Aquatics is launching a unified team, SGP Aquatics Masters, which will represent Singapore in World Aquatics competitions. This new initiative seeks to bring together all Masters swimmers/aquatics athletes under one name, fostering a collective identity and a more powerful presence in international Masters events.

This grouping/club will focus solely on competition representation on the world stage.

As part of this initiative, we are also increasing the possibility of relay team permutations for Masters swimmers, offering more opportunities for participation and collaboration among clubs.

We recognize the importance of individual club identity and representation. While SGP Aquatics Masters will represent Singapore on the world stage, clubs are still welcome to produce their own club attire for their swimmers/aquatics athletes to wear during competitions. This ensures that your athletes can continue to showcase their own unique club spirit while being part of the unified team for international representation.

We believe this initiative will not only strengthen our competitive standing but also build a greater sense of community and collaboration among the masters aquatics community in Singapore.

For swimmers/aquatics athletes who have already registered under any affiliate on the World Aquatics GMS, we will be assisting with the change should the swimmer be willing to.

For swimmers/aquatics athletes who have not registered for the World Aquatics Masters competition, you can register and select “SGP Aquatics Masters” as their club.
